Well, dover is in the vet hospital being x-rayed.  

Which sounds like i've had a BAD day, right.

Not so...     It started with susie's birthday. John (of...and Deana Martin-Griffeth) called to ask for her phone number to assault her with birthday wishes, despite the fact they both have colds and he sounded horrible!!
   We also chatted about Lori and her struggles and he promised they'd be in touch with her too and he asked about where Dover, the wonder dog, was since he didnt hear her barking or growling and i said she was having a little trouble lately with a tiny limp, probably arthritis and all and no biggie, but he asked more questions about her...and then got off and called Susie and Lori and all...     So he calls back a little later - and wants to know who my vet is and what his phone number is and all and apparently SOMEONE(S) (like susie maybe?? or lori? or both??) told him it was kind of a bad limp and was worrying me but i was scared to death of the cost and knew i couldnt do it this month and didnt know what i'd do if she needed x-rays  and all...or if it was something BAD....tho i didnt think so, but i was just too damn broke.     So John said they'd tried to get me one of those Dean Martin Orchids for my birthday and he'd called some jerk in Hawaii about it (i told him it was probably for the best - artificial flowers die in my house...) and that in about 10 minutes i should call the vet and take her in and everything would be taken care of financially...that would be my birthday present instead!!!     So i ummmed and hemmed & hawed a bit and all.... but he was dead set and serious. And i called the vet a little later and they said "well get the hell in the car and get over here" - and i did!!

  So the vet agreed with me that it didnt seem deadly serious - but that something was not right also. The tendons and her knee and all felt solid and that was good and it wasn't displaysia or anything really out of place, but he DID want to take very expensive x-rays and all and i'm waiting for their call to go and pick up baby right now...      The vet's office ALSO  said that the vet wanted her on another food and that both that and any meds she'd need would also be taken care of and i wasn't to worry about the cost of anything!!!!     Can you BELIEVE those people???!!
  I wish i could get the story like on Ent Tonight or Bonnie Hunt or something - imagine someone doing something like that!!??!      

Dean Martin would just be so happy - it just sounds like something he'd do - something you'd never hear about really, but that just can change someone's whole world for the better...
